Night In Bethlehem

Christmas is right around the corner and Stampin’ Up! has released their Holiday Catalog. Once again it is full of great bundles and stamp sets that I just can’t resist. I’m especially in love with the Night In Bethlehem Bundle which you can see at the bottom of this post. It is a beautiful set that centers on what the season is all about, Christ.

I CASE’d this card from StampwithBrian.com , Brian King’s blog. He is a great designer and I often use his designs to get me started on my creative road. This time I wanted just a bit more shine and pizzaz so I added some silver foil paper and metallic stars, along with a little embossing. See measurements and supplies below.

Bethlehem

I started with a base of Smoky Slate measuring 11″ x 4 1/4″, scored at 5 1/2″ and 2 2/4″. I then added panels of Silver Foil Paper measuring 5 3/8″ X 4 1/8″ for the larger panel and 2 5/8″ X 4 1/8″ for the smaller panel. On top of that, I added Night of Navy measuring; 5 1/8″ X 3 7/8″ and 2.5″ by 3 7/8″.

Remember: the smaller panel will go up to the inner edge so you only want to decrease the sizes of the panel by half of what you would normally.

Bethlehem-2

Cut two of each “city” design, 2 in smoky slate and 2 in whisper white. Glue down on the large base first, one at a time, then line up on the smaller panel and glue down. Finally, cut the overhanging edge off. I die cut the star from sliver foil paper as well and fixed it with dimensionals.

Figures: I stamped first on VersaMark Ink and then on Night of Navy Ink and used clear embossing powered to get a shiny surface. Die cut them and fix them with dimensional.

Finally, I added the sentiment from Star of Light, 2016 Holiday Catalog.

Here are most of the products I used. Have fun!!
